High-quality multi-reed tremolo synthesis from single-note WAV/MP3 reed instrument samples.
Overview
Load a set of single-note WAV or MP3 reed-instrument samples and create two- or three-reed tremolo versions of them.
The converter analyzes the samples, sorts them from low pitch to high pitch, applies the selected tremolo settings, normalizes the finished samples, and exports them together in a ZIP file.
Interpolate missing notes? is enabled by default.
When enabled, missing semitones between the lowest and highest loaded notes are created from the closest available loaded sample in pitch.
Interpolated notes are identified in the sample list and are otherwise previewed, processed, and saved just like loaded samples.
If interpolation is disabled, the selected files must contain every semitone from the lowest note through the highest note.
Duplicate pitches are not allowed in either mode.
Beat Offset
Starting Beat Offset sets the total frequency separation between the two reeds at the lowest note.
Ending Beat Offset sets the total separation at the highest note.
Beat Offset Curve controls how that separation changes across the chromatic sample range.
Linear uses an even progression.
Curves 1–8 provide progressively stronger nonlinear curves.
The graph shows the selected progression from the starting value to the ending value.
Reed Tuning and Volume
Reed Tuning selects how the two reed frequencies are created.
− / + Offset splits the total beat offset equally below and above the original pitch.
Original / + Offset leaves the first reed at the original frequency and shifts the second reed upward by the full offset.
− Offset / Original / + Offset creates a three-reed MMM-style sound with the original pitch in the center and the total offset split equally below and above it.
Reed Volume Balance controls the balance between the two sides of the selected tuning.
In two-reed modes, it balances the two reeds.
In three-reed mode, fully left plays only the original center reed and fully right plays only the combined lower and upper offset reeds.
At 50 / 50, the original reed and combined offset reeds contribute equally.
Reset beside Reed Volume Balance restores the balance to 50 / 50.
Output Level
LUFS Target sets the loudness target for each finished tremolo sample.
The default is −15 LUFS.
Normalization is applied after all reeds are mixed.
Output Level Trim applies an additional gain adjustment after normalization.
If the requested level would cause digital clipping, peak protection automatically reduces the output level; the completion message reports when this occurs.
Output samples are mono, 44.1 kHz IEEE 32-bit floating-point WAV files.
Reset All restores all converter settings to their original defaults, including Reed Volume Balance to 50 / 50.
All converter settings are automatically saved and restored the next time you use the tool.
Sample List and Pitch Detection
The sample list is shown in detected pitch order.
It displays the source LUFS value, detected note and fundamental frequency, total Hz and cents offsets, and the individual reed frequencies and cents offsets used for that sample.
Recognizable note names in filenames, such as C4, F#4, and Bb3, are used when available.
Preview
Select a sample from the Preview menu, or use Previous and Next to move through the samples.
Play Original plays the source sample and Play Tremolo previews the generated tremolo using the current Beat Offset Curve, Reed Tuning, Reed Volume Balance, and output settings.
Original and Tremolo previews automatically loop continuously until stopped.
While a preview is playing, its Play button changes to Stop Play; click it again to stop.
Starting Original while Tremolo is playing, or Tremolo while Original is playing, automatically stops the current preview first.
Selecting a different note also stops playback.
If a tremolo preview is playing and you change a tremolo or output setting, the converter regenerates the preview with the new setting, and restarts that tremolo note.
Converting and Saving
Click Convert All & Download ZIP to process the complete sample set.
Enter the ZIP filename when prompted.
Loaded samples keep the same filename as their original sample, with a .wav extension.
Interpolated samples use flat-based note names such as Db3.wav and Gb4.wav.
