During the COVID shutdowns most in-person traditional Irish sessions were shut down, John kept the tunes flowing by hosting a very popular weekly "Taking Time" slow session on Zoom.

Players and listeners of all levels were very welcome to enjoy their favorite tunes at a moderate tempo while reminding us all of the warmth of connection that shared music brings into our lives.

This site is an archive of the available audio recordings of the very enjoyable events from 2020-2022.

Individual "Taking Time" Session Set Lists and Recordings

Thanks to the generous effort of my friend Ian Law here in San Diego, CA, the full "Taking Time" 2020-2021 session
recording archives (36 sessions), divided into individual tune set .mp3 files are now available to download.

Ian did the hard work of chopping up the original full session recordings into over 400 individual .mp3 files,
naming the tracks based on the tunes played in the set, and even included an Excel spreadsheet listing every track.

Note: No recordings were available for "Taking Time" #1, 36, or 37
